Jackson Square Aviation (“JSA”) is a full-service aircraft leasing company based in San Francisco with offices in Seattle, London, Miami, and Buenos Aires, with an Asian office opening in 2010. The management team, which had previously worked together at Pegasus Aviation and Sky Holding, has over 100 years of combined industry experience. Led by the seasoned aircraft leasing trio of Richard Wiley, Toby Bright and Scott Weiss, the team has collectively acquired over $10 billion of aircraft, has purchased and/or remarketed over 400 aircraft, and has developed relationships with over 30 commercial lenders and investment banks across Europe, Asia and North America.
Jackson Square has partnered with Oaktree Capital Management, a $70+ billion institutional money manager, to finance its growth program. Oaktree has committed to invest $500 million in equity into JSA, which it expects to fully deploy within two years. Oaktree was also the majority shareholder of Pegasus Aviation, having invested in Pegasus in 2004 and sold the company to AWAS/Terra Firma in 2007. In addition to Pegasus, Oaktree had also invested with JSA’s management team on other aviation transactions going as far back as the mid-1990′s.
